Costume Auction

Each year at the Halloween & Party Expo the National Costumers Association brings costumes to display at the show. This year two of the costume's are up for auction. Bidding will be close at 12:00 pm on Monday, January 15th. The winners will be announced on Monday at 12:30 pm. 

The first costume, Eleanor, was made by Linda Adams-Foat with Camelot Costumes

 

Minimum Bid: $170

"This Regency costume is perfect for productions like SENSE AND SENSIBILITY or PRIDE AND PREJUDICE but, can also be used for historical characters like Josephine.  The costume is washable on a delicate on the delicate cycle and hung to dry.

Eleanor is plus sized (18-22) and is made entirely of re-purposed materials. She is being auctioned off at this show to the highest bidder. All proceeds will go to the NCA scholarship fund." 

The second costume is a Marie Antoinette style dress made by Pam Markel with Illusive Skull Costume Castle

"This lovely Marie Antoinette style dress was designed for a character in Andrew Lloyd Weber’s musical “Phantom of the Opera”.

This two part dress has an overdress made of pink and purple satin with a sequin overlay. It has ¾ sleeves adorned with a delicate lace. The corset style bodice allow for a more diverse size range. The bodice is satin with a sequin stomacher.  The overdress is bustled up on the sides and back.  

The underskirt has a shorter purple satin skirt with a sequin overlay and ruffles  that is attached to a longer pink satin skirt with sequin overlay .  The pink Marie Antoinette wig is adorned with lace and flower clip.

The costume is washable but not dryable.  It was used only one in a production of Phantom of the Opera in Charleston WV."
