NCA member Caufield’s is well known for holding great events, but they outdid themselves last weekend with their third annual Creepfest. The event, held in and around Caufield’s downtown Louisville store, features local vendors, food, contests…but let’s hear it from Janine Caufield herself:
“We had about 6,500 people come thru for Caufield’s CreepFest 2026! It was the largest turnout for the two-day event. We have 84 vendors, haunts and artists and it’s free admission, food trucks out front of our building, costume contests for adults, and a pet contest. The vendors, haunts, and artists are all local independent businesses -- this event is supporting small businesses throughout our community.
“We had Beetle Juice there for picture taking, and we had the battle of the haunt costume contests which was new this year. This is where the haunted houses bring in their actors and the audience votes for the best costume! We had over 50 actors join in the fun.
“Whether you’re a horror fan, Halloween lover, collector, or just looking for a fun weekend with the family, kinda like the kick off for Halloween for us!
“It’s our third year of doing the CreepFest. We also host a Holiday Nightmare on Main Street in December where we have Krampus and Grinch come in for photos. We will have vendors, artists and haunts but with a Christmas twist.”
