Managing all the data involved in an association can be daunting. Fortunately, there are several online systems that help association administrators effectively manage that data, and the NCA has been using a system called MemberClicks for the past several years. However, now the NCA is switching to a different system, called GrowthZone, that offers improved service and a smoother interface.
"We're looking forward to implementing GrowthZone," says Ed Avis, NCA's executive director. "It's specifically designed for our size association, and it will help us provide an even better member experience."
The implementation of the new database is underway already. Data from the existing system has been cleaned up and imported into GrowthZone. Over the coming weeks more data will be added to create fuller profiles of the members, and the system will generate a new member directory, billing systems, and other important functions. The goal is to have GrowthZone fully operational by mid-September.
For members, most of this will happen in the background and will not be noticeable. But members will notice a difference in the Member Portal -- it will be streamlined and easier to access. The Member Directory also promises to be easier to use and search.
"Once the new system is up and running, we'll send an invitation to members to visit the portal, update their directory information, and clear up any outstanding invoices, if they have any," Avis says. "From then on the system and the Member Portal will run smoothly and efficiently."
