As expected, industrious costumers in the NCA 1,000 Mask Challenge have met the challenge! As of April 16, participants have made and donated 1,594 masks to healthcare organizations and the general public and have committed to making 2,075 more.
However, some costumers making masks have run out of supplies, so we have created a clearinghouse to connect people who have supplies who those who need them. If you can donate supplies, such as elastic or cotton fabric, or if you need those supplies, please click here to read more about the clearninghouse.
“I knew our members and others in the costuming industry would put their skills to use to help during this crisis,” says Ed Avis, NCA’s executive director. "But we still have a long road ahead of us, so let's keep making masks!"

If you previously pledged to make masks and have completed them, please take a moment to tell us that you have done so by clicking here and completing the easy form.
