Are you a passionate costume professional interested in helping direct the only trade organization devoted to the retail costume business? Or do you know somebody like that? Then we want to hear from you!
The NCA is striving to help members and the costume industry as a whole succeed. You have probably noticed that over the past year, we have been creating new programs, new educational offerings, new discount offers, and new informational content to help everyone deal with the current situation. The current board members have contributed their time, talent and energy to making the NCA an essential part of the costuming industry...and now we are inviting new board members!
Being a board member requires that you care about the industry and the association and are willing to offer your opinions and knowledge when asked. The time commitment, however, is not overly burdensome. The board meets quarterly via Zoom, and occasionally communicates via email between meetings as issues arise. Traditionally the board has also met in person once or twice a year, and that situation will be evaluated once travel is safe again. The key requirement is passion: If you have ideas about how the association can better serve members and the industry and can imagine how those ideas could be turned into programs, you might be a perfect candidate for the board!

Board members typically serve two-year terms, and new members would begin serving this summer. Nominations will be accepted until May 1, 2021.
